Another Turn In the Road

The exhausted worn-out feeling was joined by a new symptom, that of being lightheaded. Given the fact that Matt's blood counts had been lower than expected this past Monday, we had been instructed to call if any signs of anemia appeared. Whether this was anemia or chemo related symptoms was uncertain, so blood tests were ordered. With the results showing that his blood count had dropped another 6 points since Monday, he was soon in the ER, and then admitted to the Auburn hospital.

That's where I left him late this evening. He was hooked up to monitors, special wraps on his leg kept the blood circulating, and they were to arrive shortly to begin a blood transfusion. Despite all the wires, he was still my smiling cheerful hubby.

Thank you for your continued prayers.

  2. It is so hard to watch our STRONG husbands, become weak! Dale has been laying around A LOT again, slept almost ALL day today. Now when I see him like this it always takes me back to right before he had his brain thing, I just didn't realize then that there was something much more serious going on than just "tiered". We constantly keep you guys in our prayers. In the Bible God would sometimes change His mind because of prayer... I am praying that He would make the chemo do more than the DRs give room for! But most of all for His perfect and glorious will to be done in such a way that He is exalted!! Your writings are SUCH an encouragement to me. I admire your talent at being able to put all your thoughts into words for others to see! Love you guys. Katie

  4. Rosie, so glad that you keep us updated, so that we can pray. You are both amazing through this whole process. It can't be easy and we continue to lift you up to the one who cares and calls you by name. I can actually picture Matt being all wired up and grinning, all the while saying. "ok, well good night" Beth
