I've always loved this picture. I can't look at it without thinking of the song, "The wise man built his house upon the rock...."
This was an actual house built upon a rock in the frontier town of Puerto Ayacucho, Venezuela. The rock was definitely a norm for the area, but the only one with a house balanced at the top! I'd never seen anything like it before--and I've definitely not seen anything like it since!
